Joanne Hubbard a founding member of Encinitas Trails Coalition has passed away recently. As a tribute to her many contributions to Encinitas Trails we will be installing this boulder along the El Camino Del Norte corridor in Olivenhain. She will be truly missed. Keep your eye out for this trail marker.
Rain, Rain and more Rain!
San Diego County has received a lot of rain in these early February days of 2024.
Please allow a few days for the trails to dry out so that we can protect the integrity of the pathway surfaces.
Little Oaks Equestrian Park has been closed due to recent flooding in the area.

Encinitas Trails Coalition donates $5,000
The letter below is from The City of Encinitas Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts department.
The recent $5,000 donation will provide fencing along El Camino Del Norte from Cole Ranch Road to Rancho Santa Fe Road. The addition of this fencing will complete the the trail segment designated along this busy road.

Repairs made to Stairs at 11th Street in Encinitas

The Stairs were in pretty bad shape and the fencing had been removed. Now it’s repaired and looking good!
Additional signs were also installed by City Staff.

Olivenhain trails were opened yesterday and the barriers were removed.
There are still accouple of wet spots along the creek on the Double LL Ranch Loop Trail. They will need some more time to dry out.

Because of extensive flooding caused by atmospheric rivers an unprecedented amount of rain has saturated our trails. Please do not use the trails until they are open again.

Notice: Trail Closures
Jan 5, 2023: Recreational Trails Storm Damage – Temporary Closure
Due to the recent winter storms several recreational trails in Olivenhain have become saturated. To prevent trail damage and avoid unsafe trail conditions, temporary trail closures have been posted along Lone Jack Road, Double Ll Ranch Road, Fortuna Ranch Road, Copper Crest Road, and Lone Hill Lane. City staff will monitor conditions and will remove signage as the trails dry out.
