Construction begins for Trail 95 El Camino Del Norte Encinitas

Hello friends and neighbors.

The trail along El Camino Del Norte will begin construction March 30, 2022!

During construction, which is expected to be completed by the end of June, a trail detour will be in place for pedestrian/ equestrian access.

Ellies Bridge will be closed for this short period of time and trail users should follow the temporary route set by the City of Encinitas. Trail access will be diverted to the OMWD sewer easement starting at the windmill on El Camino Del Norte via the Meadow Mist Trail and Cole Ranch Rd.

I have attached a map below so you can see the area affected by the construction. The main construction along El Camino Del Norte will be monitored by traffic personnel each day assisting with the flow of vehicles traveling along this corridor.

We have been waiting a long time for this new trail and are very excited to see it come to fruition.

Slow for Horses

We worked with the City of Encinitas to improve better visibility for pedestrian and equestrian crossings along Lone Jack Rd. These new signs alert drivers to the crossings across the road.

Trail 106 sometimes known as the Seasonal Trail

This trail runs along some properties behind Little Oaks Park Equestrian Park. The trail provides access for these residents and was overgrown with weeds and looking broken down. Now it is no longer a fire danger and can be used to start a trail ride or walk from here. The trail does not extend East as you run into some private property. Please do not trespass. This segment ends in 500ft.

Copper Crest Trail

The long awaited trail along Copper Crest has been installed. The trail along the Johnson property has DG footing and the trees have been trimmed bordering the trail. This trail still needs a connection before the designated crossing at Copper Crest and Wishbone Way. It seems there is more work to be done on the final section before this connection would be complete. This is what it looks like now.
